Here are a few of the August concerts being held at the\u00a0Embarcadero Marina Park South\u00a0along San Diego\u2019s picturesque bay: \u2022 Aug. 18:\u00a0Blues Traveler \u2013 Frontman\u00a0and harmonica player Jon Popper and the band return to their bluesy roots with new jams of old favorites and tunes from their latest album. \u2022 Aug. 24:\u00a0Chaka Khan (with special guest Macy Gray) \u2013 The soulful power of her voice on massive hits like\u00a0I Feel for You\u00a0and\u00a0I\u2019m Every Woman\u00a0has won her 10 Grammys, sold 70 million records, and influenced generations of musicians. \u2022 Aug. 30-31, Sept. 1:\u00a01812 Tchaikovsky Spectacular \u2013 The summer season comes to a dazzling end with a must-see grand finale: the 1812 Overture complete with booming cannons and a sparkling fireworks display over San Diego Bay. \u2022 Aug. 9-10: Classic Albums Live presents Sgt. Pepper\u2019s Lonely Hearts Club Band \u2013 Sgt. Pepper is 50 years old! Experience the groundbreaking Sgt. Pepper album with a \u2018note for note \u2013 cut for cut\u2019 performance by the San Diego Symphony featuring hits like &#8220;When I\u2019m Sixty Four,&#8221; &#8220;A Day in the Life,&#8221; and &#8220;With a Little Help from My Friends.&#8221; From the\u00a0sitars\u00a0and orchestra to the guitars and kazoos, this performance brings The Lonely Hearts Club Band back to life.
