Taking in everything from the mambo to the cha cha and meringue, the 20-piece band is an explosion of rhythm. Still led by founder and trumpeter Bill Caballero, this performance is technically a concert, but the group\u2019s inspired performance should be able to get the audience off its feet and dancing within the first few bars. The band has issued one album to date, the excellent &#8220;Standards,&#8221; but live, where you can experience the musicians interact is the best way to experience Caballero and his Orchestra. \u2022 THE BI-NATIONAL MAMBO ORCHESTRA: Friday, June 27, at DIZZY\u2019S, 4275 Mission Bay Drive. 8 p.m. $15. www.dizzysjazz.com. Root rock aficionados won\u2019t want to miss an appearance from the Dave Gleason Trio at Beaumont\u2019s on June 27. The acclaimed guitarist plays a heady mix of classic old school country with splashes of rockabilly fretwork that\u2019s sure to please even the most jaded Americana fan. \u2022 THE DAVE GLEASON TRIO: June 27 at BEAUMONT\u2019S, 5662 La Jolla Blvd. 9 p.m. 21 and up. www.beaumontseatery.com. Blessed with a fiery voice and commanding stage presence, Michele Lundeen is a musical force to be reckoned with. Appearing at Tio Leo\u2019s on July 1, Lundeen\u2019s vocals place her alongside the likes of Tina Turner and Etta James when it comes to emotion filled singing. She\u2019s only recorded one album to date, but it\u2019s just as well. As anyone who has caught her act can attest, her music is basically the blues with a touch of soul, gritty roadhouse style \u2014 whether you dance or listen, Lundeen and her band will move you.<br \/>\n\u2022 MICHELE LUNDEEN: Tuesday, July 1 at TIO LEO\u2019S, 5302 Napa Street. 9 p.m. 21 and up. There are plenty of places to hear live music this Fourth of July, but nothing beats the Kona Kai Resort\u2019s pool party, with Point Loma\u2019s own Fish &#038; The Seaweeds providing the tunes to go along with the fireworks on the bay. Led by guitarist Mark Fisher, Fish &#038; The Seaweeds excel at classic rock with a repertoire that includes the likes of Santana, The Beatles and Neil Young, in other words, the perfect soundtrack for a Friday evening party. On hand will be a Sunny Rude, City Reef and Special Blend. Sunny Rude in particular has made a splash in San Diego over the past four years, perennial favorites in a crowded scene with a sophomore release on the way.
