World-renowned speaker and bestselling author Swami A. Parthasarathy will present the lecture titled “Governing Business and Relationships” at 10:30 a.m., Sept. 21 at the Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center, 7600 Fay Ave. In this lecture, Parthasarathy will focus on self-development through basic concepts within the corporate world, such as value systems, work ethics, stress management, productivity, leadership, and time management. The presentation will culminate with a 20-minute Q&A. The event is free. <\/p>\n

LA JOLLA SQUARE TO HOST BLOOD DRIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span>La Jolla Square will partner with the San Diego Blood Bank to host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Aug. 22 in the parking lot of 4225 Executive Square. Eligible donors must be 17 and older, weigh at least 114 pounds, and be in good health. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. <\/span>DEL MAR RACETRACK HOSTS SOJA PERFORMANCE, COUNTRY BEER JAM<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span>The Del Mar Racetrack presents two-time Grammy-nominated reggae group, SOJA, shortly after the last race Aug. 23 at the Seaside Stage, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd. Racetrack guests will receive free admission to the concert if they enter before the final race of the day. After the last race, concert tickets are $30. All concerts are 18 and up.<\/p>\n

<\/span>The Racetrack will also host a Country Beer Jam on Aug. 24 in the Seaside Stage. Enjoy rare and unique beers and award-winning brews from San Diego’s thriving craft beer scene. Tasting wristbands are available for purchase ($12.50 for five samples) inside the event. Country artists such as Nancarrow will perform throughout the day.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Other upcoming events at the Del Mar Racetrack include the Sip in Style drink tasting event from 4-6 p.m., Aug. 18 and 23 in the Turf Club; the dining experience, the Taste of the Turf Club, on Aug. 25 in the Turf Club; Family Weekend on Saturdays and Sundays, Aug. 24 and 25; the breakfast experience, Daybreak at Del Mar from 7:30-9:30 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, Aug. 24 and 25; and Free and Easy Wednesdays on Aug. 21.
