The five musicians have been playing the local reggae scene for more than a decade in bands like the San Diego Island Boys and Kayamon. Now led by Pali, a multi-instrumentalist originally from Honolulu, the quintet plays a particularly sweet brand of island music with a bit of croon to the vocals and a soulful groove at its base. Both solo artists and small combos are welcome, with the venue providing a backline for quick artist turnover. While there is no guarantee on the caliber of each performer\u2019s talent, the three-song or 15-minute rule keeps things from bogging down.
