Thanks to ArtPower at UC San Diego, David Sedaris, one of the nation’s preeminent humor writers, is returning to perform Thursday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. at Balboa Theatre at 868 Fourth Ave. An ArtPower fan favorite for many years, best-selling author Sedaris returns with fresh writing and biting social critiques that make him a master of satire. At the performance, he will read from new and unpublished material and take audience questions.
\n“We are excited to have David Sedaris return to ArtPower,” said the group’s executive director, Jordan Peimer. “This is a historic moment for David, with the release of both \u2018Theft by Finding\u2019 and \u2018David Sedaris Diaries\u2019.”
\nPeimer said attendees at the Sedaris event won’t be disappointed.
\n“David, who is always so insightful, will have much to say about the writing process, life on the road and life in general,” said Peimer. “It\u2019s a great chance to get a peek into the life of the man behind the humor.”
