She said the stab wounds were not believed to be fatal. Vasel said Passmore was acquainted with the victim. Tuttle died in a hospital about a week after the attack. Parker and Passmore were arrested for murder on April 25 where they were staying at a Mission Valley motel. Both have pleaded not guilty and they remain in jail on $1 million bail.<br \/>\n\u2013 Neal Putnam Thousands\u00a0of\u00a0volunteers\u00a0join Creek\u00a0to\u00a0Bay\u00a0Cleanup<br \/>\nOn April 22, I Love A Clean San Diego\u2019s 15th annual Creek to Bay Cleanup engaged 6,200 registered volunteers at 113 cleanup sites around San Diego County.\u00a0Volunteers channeled\u00a0their\u00a0appreciation for San Diego\u2019s\u00a0environment\u00a0into\u00a0action\u00a0by participating in the annual Earth Day cleanup. During the three-hour event, volunteers improved the health and beauty of San Diego\u2019s natural environment by removing more than 150,000 pounds of trash and debris from locations throughout San Diego County.<br \/>\nAmong\u00a0the\u00a0debris,\u00a0there\u00a0were\u00a0several\u00a0notable\u00a0odd\u00a0it-ems\u00a0collected\u00a0during\u00a0the\u00a0cleanup\u00a0including:\u00a0a $90 check at Monterey Heights Park, an ATM machine shell at Allied Gardens, and a raw chicken package at Del Mar Powerhouse Park.<br \/>\nVolunteers\u00a0beautified\u00a0and\u00a0restored\u00a0the\u00a0local\u00a0environment through\u00a0painting projects, planting projects, and weeding projects.\u00a0Thanks\u00a0to thousands\u00a0of\u00a0volunteers, 113\u00a0parks, beaches and community spaces received special care to keep the area healthy and beautiful for the community. \u00a0\u00a0 PB Library closes for two weeks The Pacific Beach Library will be closed from May 1 to May 12\u00a0for necessary system technology upgrades. Information needed on unsolved homicide in PB Authorities renewed their call for information that could lead them to whoever carjacked a 77-year-old man, then fatally struck him with his own pickup truck in a Pacific Beach alley 15 years ago.<br \/>\nInvestigators believe Edward Wager was carjacked after he stopped his white Toyota pickup truck in an alley off Grand Avenue near Noyes Street shortly before 2 a.m. on Nov. 8, 2001. He was subsequently run over by his truck as the suspect sped off, according to San Diego police and Crime Stoppers.<br \/>\nPolice found Wager&#8217;s truck in the Encanto neighborhood in southeastern San Diego three days later, authorities said.<br \/>\nAnyone with information on the case was asked to call San Diego police at 619-531-2293.
