\nMissing the playoffs was the boys\u2019 basketball team. Last year\u2019s squad finished 18-8 overall, winning the Central League with a perfect 10-0 mark. This year, coach Chris Brisco\u2019s team posted a record of 10-15 overall (6-6 and third place in Central League), falling short of a spot in the Div. II playoffs. \n\u2022 A new sport debuts as the spring athletic season gets under way: girls\u2019 beach volleyball. Girls\u2019 varsity volleyball coach Davis Ransom will head the program in its inaugural season. The Lady Pointers\u2019 home court will be on Ocean Beach sand near lifeguard Tower 5 and Dog Beach.
\n\u2022 Spring is the busiest season for Pointer sports. The boys will be battling opponents in badminton, baseball, golf, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball \u00a0and lacrosse. Both the tennis and volleyball teams will be defending 2013 league championships.
