Tasting room guests can now take home a four pack of 72 &#038; Hoppy to enjoy with loved ones over the holidays.<br \/>\n&#8220;72 &#038; Hoppy is San Diego in a can. It\u2019s refreshing and light in alcohol while maintaining the vibrant, Northwest-hops flavor that San Diego beer is known for,&#8221; says Greg Anderson, co-owner of Bay City Brewing Co. &#8220;We hope the limited-release four packs find a home at the holiday dinner table, under the tree or in the family camping cooler.&#8221;<br \/>\n72 &#038; Hoppy features Mosaic, El Dorado and Ekuanot hops, which bring tropical and citrus notes to the popular IPA-style beer. Bay City Brewing Co. began canning operations of 72 &#038; Hoppy on Dec. 7, releasing the 4.2 percent alcohol by volume beer for sale in a limited run of four packs. Now, the signature 16-ounce cans lined with orange detail and the San Diego skyline on a crisp white backdrop can be found at Bay City Brewing Co.\u2019s Point Loma tasting room and select locations including\u00a0Barons Market in North Park, Jensen&#8217;s in Point Loma, Olive Tree Market in Ocean Beach and Mona Lisa Italian Deli in Little Italy. According to Bay City Brewing co-owner Ben DuBois, adding canning to the list of milestones in 2017 is cause for celebration.<br \/>\n&#8220;Looking back on the year, we\u2019re grateful for a community that embraces small businesses and craft breweries,&#8221; says DuBois. &#8220;Without this support, Bay City Brewing may not be celebrating its first canned release. We owe everything to the people who come into our tasting room and share a beer with us.&#8221;<br \/>\nKnown informally as the &#8220;I-saw-you-from-the-freeway&#8221; brewery, Bay City Brewing Co. has found its home off Hancock Street in an industrial nook of Point Loma. The Point Loma brewery invites all to its indoor-outdoor tasting room to try any of its custom crafts on tap, or in cans, crowlers and growlers to-go.
