The state-of-the-art&nbsp;Wildlife Center&nbsp;includes habitats that will help to reduce stress as&nbsp;patients heal and grow before&nbsp;they are released back to the&nbsp;wild. The&nbsp;facility&#8217;s&nbsp;medical and surgical suites will expand San Diego Humane Society&#8217;s&nbsp;capabilities and provide&nbsp;a&nbsp;permanent, dedicated home for veterinary&nbsp;care for wildlife.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>Project&nbsp;Wildlife stands alone as the primary resource in San Diego County for&nbsp;the majority of wildlife to receive&nbsp;help when they critically need&nbsp;it. Every&nbsp;year, Project Wildlife provides more than 12,000 wild&nbsp;animals &mdash; from&nbsp;raptors to squirrels and ducks &mdash;&nbsp;the best opportunity to receive the nurturing&nbsp;care they need to&nbsp;survive, whether&nbsp;it&#8217;s specialized veterinary care, injury&nbsp;rehabilitation or simply a safe place to mature.<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;Pilar &amp; Chuck Bahde Wildlife Center is located at 5433 Gaines St. For more information about what to do if you find a baby or injured wild animal, visit sdhumane.org or call the Project Wildlife hotline at 619-225-WILD.&nbsp;<\/p><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><strong>CITY&nbsp;OF SAN DIEGO LOOKING TO HIRE 46 OPEN POSITIONS FOR POOL LIFEGUARDS&nbsp;AND&nbsp;MANAGERS<br \/><\/strong><br \/>Looking&nbsp;for an entry level summer job with flexible hours and the chance to&nbsp;work outdoors?&nbsp;The City is currently&nbsp;looking to fill 46 open pool lifeguard&nbsp;and pool manager positions at&nbsp;13&nbsp;facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Interested&nbsp;participants must attend an initial tryout to assess basic swimming&nbsp;proficiency and qualify to enroll in&nbsp;the City&#8217;s&nbsp;lifeguard training course.&nbsp;Tryouts will be held Tuesday, March 19 and&nbsp;Thursday, March 21 at the&nbsp;Tierrasanta Pool from 5-7&nbsp;p.m.,&nbsp;and Tuesday, March 26, at Vista Terrace&nbsp;Pool in San Ysidro from&nbsp;9-10&nbsp;a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Swimmers&nbsp;who pass the tryout must attend a week-long mandatory lifeguard&nbsp;training course that teaches safety,&nbsp;first aid and lifesaving&nbsp;procedures.&nbsp;Participants who graduate the course will receive&nbsp;American Red Cross&nbsp;Lifeguard Training and Title 22 First Aid&nbsp;certifications and qualify to work as a&nbsp;lifeguard at City pools. The&nbsp;cost of&nbsp;the lifeguard training course is $231, and financing and&nbsp;scholarship options are available.<\/p>\n<p>Those&nbsp;who wish to participate in pool lifeguard tryouts must create an&nbsp;account at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sdrecconnect.com\/\">www.sdrecconnect.com<\/a>&nbsp;prior to&nbsp;attending.
