Welcome to the first installment of the La Jolla Village News\u2019 new regular, bi-weekly live music calendar.<\/b> <b>DEBE ESCUCHAR<\/b> <b>Todo el mundo<\/b> There are many musical trios in town, but none kick up quite the rhythmic frenzy of Todo Mundo. Led by Colombian-born guitarist Santiago Orozco, with percussionist Jake Sibley and a rotating cast of friends, the group\u2019s name translates as &#8220;the whole world&#8221; \u2014 and they do indeed take in a whole world of influences. Todo Mundo\u2019s sound includes a blend of flamenco, samba, reggae and salsa, all with a beat that\u2019s custom made for dancing, while its set is comprised of Orozco\u2019s music and choice covers such as a recasting of disco classic &#8220;I Will Survive.&#8221; Whether you are a fan of world music or not, Todo Mundo\u2019s mix of energetic performances and sweet South American melodies is just about irresistible.
