Faulconer was joined by Tijuana Mayor Arturo Gonz\u00e1lez Cruz to announce the donation of 1,000 3D-printed face shields from the City of San Diego to the City of Tijuana for use in public hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>Faulconer also detailed a new regional bi-national working group that tracks and monitors the pandemic in San Diego and Baja California.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCovid-19 knows no boundaries, so our border region is working together to monitor the situation in Baja and preparing for healthcare impacts in the San Diego region should they arise,\u201d Faulconer said. \u201cSan Diego and Tijuana are in this together, so I\u2019ve directed our libraries to 3-D print face shields to help protect Tijuana\u2019s healthcare workers as they work to save lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>En abril, la Biblioteca P\u00fablica de la Ciudad de San Diego, en asociaci\u00f3n con la Fundaci\u00f3n de la Biblioteca P\u00fablica de San Diego, comenz\u00f3 a producir protectores faciales para los trabajadores del hospital local utilizando una docena de impresoras 3-D que se trasladaron al Laboratorio IDEA de la Biblioteca Central de San Diego.
