\nFrom February to June 2020, the San Diego County Bike Coalition invites cyclists to Bike the BLVD Spectacular the first Friday of every month, celebrating the new bus and bike lanes on El Cajon Boulevard in North Park. The event will take riders for a 6-mile ride complete with stops for drinks, music and prizes. Bike the BLVD features different mini-experiences each time \u2013 this time with a comedy ride. 6-9 p.m. Ride starts and ends at BLVD court, Alabama Street and El Cajon Boulevard. \nA large number of creatures call the ocean home, and many of them are mammals. In this workshop, students will explore the characteristics of marine mammals, especially dolphins, whales and seals found off the California coast. Through hands-on activities, students will learn about marine mammal adaptations, such as echolocation in whales and locomotion in seals and sea lions. Students will also study coloration and fur patterns by sculpting marine mammals in clay to take home. The goal of this course is to leave students with a better understanding of California marine mammals and how we can make simple changes in our lives to help preserve these fascinating creatures.
