But if you live in Normal Heights, it will be a very special day and one that occurs only once a century.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the day \u2014 after it is shorthanded to 9-21-16 \u2014 when the date matches the 92116 ZIP code for the Normal Heights community.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s is an extremely rare coincidence the postal officials say happens every 100 years and only in certain ZIP codes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis event is a \u2018once in a lifetime\u2019 event that doesn\u2019t always happen in all ZIP codes, so we are fortunate to be able to recognize this day with the community,\u201d San Diego Postmaster Lisa Baldwin said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_26405\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-26405\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sduptownnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/92116_John-Adams-Post-Office.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-26405 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/sduptownnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/92116_John-Adams-Post-Office-1024x752.jpg\" alt=\"92116_John Adams Post Office\" width=\"600\" height=\"441\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 600px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 600\/441;\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-26405\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The John Adams Post Office, located at 3288 Adams Ave. in Normal Heights, will celebrate a once-in-a-lifetime event on 9-21-16 (Courtesy of the U.S. Postal Service)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The John Adams Post Office, located at 3288 Adams Ave. in Normal Heights, is planning to celebrate the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it is a very fun occasion occurring once in a lifetime and I\u2019m glad to be part of it,\u201d said Erica Hall, station manager for the John Adams Post Office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is my first and probably only time that I will be at a postal facility that will celebrate this unique event,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt is a very memorable event and also very cool!
