Katherine Hon eloquently described the multiple, important roles Joe Schloss played in North Park for many years.\u00a0In other articles, Ms. Hon has educated us about historically significant sites in North Park.\u00a0As her tribute to Joe Schloss points out, the community has also been fortunate to have some special people contribute to its history.<\/p>\n

We need a grocery store within walking distance in the neighborhood! We don\u2019t live in utopia and no one is going to get everything they want. A decent grocery store is better than an empty building any day of the week!<\/p>\n

It looks as if the only ones that have a problem with Smart & Final are the unions. How hypocritical especially when they have no issues with Costco, which is union.<\/p>\n
