Center Stage Children\u2019s Theater is putting on this musical as their inaugural production. The show features classic songs from the original \u201cMusic Man\u201d including \u201c76 Trombones,\u201d \u201cShipoopi\u201d and more. \u201cThe Music Man Jr.\u201d will be performed for two weekends only. Friday shows start at 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday shows start at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $9 for seniors and children. Hillcrest Community Movie Night<\/strong>
\nFriday, March 20<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the third quarterly Hillcrest movie night, \u201cThe Wizard of Oz\u201d will be shown in Hillcrest\u2019s Egyptian Quarter at 3811 Park Blvd. (the lot between Heat Bar and Kitchen and Numbers Night Club). The area will be converted to a comfortable \u201cparklet\u201d complete with grass. The movie will be shown on a 26-foot outdoor screen while fresh popcorn and other snacks will be available. The event is free and family friendly; attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic, blanket or chairs and dress up in Oz-themed attire. Pets are also welcome. Prizes will be given for best \u201cWizard of Oz\u201d costumes. The event starts at 6 p.m. with the movie starting at 8 p.m. There will be free tours of the Egyptian Quarter before the movie. Third Annual Bankers Hill Art and Craft Beer Fest<\/strong>
\nFriday, March 20<\/strong><\/p>\n

This event will be held at a historic site in Bankers Hill, The Abbey (2825 Fifth Ave.) from 5 \u2013 9 p.m. Participating San Diego breweries include Ballast Point, Stone, Groundswell, Mother Earth and more. The festival will showcase food from local eateries including Barrio Star, Cucina Urbana, Bankers Hill Bar and Restaurant, and Pizzicato. There were also be various art installations and vendors. The event is sponsored by Bankers Hill Business Group, The Abbey, Metro CDC and MySMN. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door. Makers Arcade Spring Fair<\/strong>
\nSaturday, March 21<\/strong><\/p>\n

This event will feature over 50 local \u201cmakers\u201d or owners of local businesses, many of whom handcraft their products. Admission is only $2 and includes a raffle ticket, plus the first 100 guests will receive a swag bag. There will be a free \u201cmake and take\u201d area by Urban Craft Camp, a floral bar by Siren Floral Co. and many more highlights. Food trucks and other vendors will also be on hand. The first South Park walkabout of the year is finally here! This free quarterly festival by the South Park Business Group invites guests to visit the unique businesses of the area.
