There will also be opportunities to contribute to the needs of others directly by giving money towards farming, fuel and food in other countries. Soup, bread and refreshments will be available for a small monetary contribution. The expo runs from 8:30 a.m. \u2013 1 p.m. in the Great Hall of the church, which faces Fifth Avenue. Several local LGBT sports leagues come together each year to hold the event, including San Diego American Flag Football League, SD Hoops Basketball, San Diego Tennis Federation, SAGA Ski\/Snowboarders, Armada Rugby, SD High Rollers bowling league and America\u2019s Finest City Softball League. Representatives will raffle off prizes from their respective leagues, with proceeds from raffle ticket sales going to The San Diego LGBT Center and Memorial Prep Middle School in Barrio Logan. The event is free but guests are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for the Imperial Court\u2019s Toys for Kids drive. Between raffles there will be live entertainment with singer Kori Gillis, as well as musical chairs. Kicking off at 8 a.m., the holiday-themed race includes a 5k timed run and a 1k Children\u2019s Dash with the Elves run\/walk activity. Participants (including pets) are encouraged to dress up in holiday attire. The Arthritis Foundation expects over 2,000 participants will race this year to raise funds to help find a cure for arthritis. The family friendly festivities will include Christmas music and entertainment, photos with Santa Claus, artwork, and Christmas cookies with hot chocolate and cider.
