{"id":234933,"date":"2018-10-19T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-10-19T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sdnews.com\/taste-of-old-town-returns-with-new-name\/"},"modified":"2018-10-19T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-10-19T07:00:00","slug":"taste-of-old-town-returns-with-new-name","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/taste-of-old-town-returns-with-new-name\/","title":{"rendered":"Taste of Old Town regresa con nuevo nombre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Sunny Lee | Old Town Tid-Bits<\/p>\n<p>Taste of Old Town returns in November, only under a new moniker: Taste + Tequila Old Town.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The popular annual event under its new name and will take place Thursday, Nov. 29, from 5\u20139 p.m. and will support the efforts of the Old Town San Diego Chamber of Commerce in promoting Old Town, the birthplace of San Diego \u2014 and to keep free parking open to the public.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/missionvalleynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/taste-of-old-town.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6981 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/missionvalleynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/taste-of-old-town.jpg\" alt=\"Taste of Old Town returns with new name\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Taste + Tequila Old Town will include tastings of the area\u2019s best Mexican food and spirits at several restaurants in the heart of Old Town, along with music and entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTaste of Old Town is one of our most popular events, and we encourage everyone to support the event and help us keep free parking [open] to the public in Old Town,\u201d said Christine Smith, chair of the event.<\/p>\n<p>Ticket holders will enjoy tequila sampling and a specialty tequila cocktail as well as featured food tastes at each participating restaurant. Food-only tickets can also be purchased.<\/p>\n<p>Advance tickets are already available for Taste + Tequila Old Town at <a href=\"http:\/\/oldtownsandiego.org\/tastetequilla\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">oldtownsandiego.org\/tastetequilla<\/a>. Cost is $25 to $40.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets will also be available the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 3 p.m. on Nov. 29 at the will call table next to the Old Town Trolley on Twiggs and San Diego Avenue in Old Town.
