The timing is apt, since Mission Valley is expected to more than double in population in the next 10 to 15 years.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>An interest meeting will be held from 3 \u2013 4:45 p.m. July 10 at Mission Valley Library\u2019s Community Room. The deadline to apply is July 24.<\/p>\n<p>A lottery to pick 11 volunteers will be conducted from noon \u2013 2 p.m. Aug. 5 at the library\u2019s Community Room. Candidates must attend the lottery for a chance to be selected.<\/p>\n<p>The 11 volunteers will join 12 other subcommittee members already selected from the membership of the Mission Valley Planning Group. John Nugent will be the subcommittee\u2019s chair, and Andrew Michajlenko and Elizabeth Leventhal will serve as vice chairs.
