However, we were not informed that it would occur every working weekday (always exactly at noon). The blasts would literally shake the entire neighborhood, producing clouds of dust everywhere in our neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>On one occasion, an excessive amount of dynamite was apparently used, and a huge boulder was thrown across Mission Gorge Road, penetrating the roof of a two-story home.<\/p>\n<p>Many things have changed, as you noted in your article. The expansion of that plant\u2019s capacity to include asphalt in the amount of 510 tons\/hour production, is not only distressing to me, but alarming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>\u2014 Ed Le\u00f3n<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Smell in the air was overwhelming again this morning in Allied Gardens. I live across the street from Grant Hill Park and the smell hit me as soon as I opened the door this morning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>\u2014 Elizabeth Howard<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>I was told you might be writing about Ready Mix on Mission Gorge. They have been a very bad neighbor for a very long time. They burn rubber and other compounds to produce asphalt and the toxic fumes consume our homes to the point you can\u2019t be outdoors. It causes a burning sensation in the lungs and the neighborhood gets covered in black dust.
