Awde is the co-founder\/co-director of marra.tein in Beirut, Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, and recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including those from the Aaron Siskind Foundation and a US Fulbright Scholar Grant. He will speak about his approach to art-making and his series Scale Without Measure, which is featured in the exhibition, In Transit, on view at the SDSU Downtown Gallery April 18\u2013July 14.
