Live music: Kathryn Cloward CD release show<\/strong>
\nSunday, June 28<\/strong><\/p>\n

Local singer-songwriter Kathryn Cloward will be celebrating the release of two full-length CDs with a party at Navajo Live (8515 Navajo Road, San Carlos). Cloward along with her band, Amethyst Road, will perform songs from both albums titled: \u201cFree to Fly\u201d and \u201cA Soft Place to Fall.\u201d The event is free and there will also be drink specials, light appetizers and door prizes. Navajo area business networking group meeting
\nWednesdays, July 1 and 15<\/strong><\/p>\n

Though the Navajo area neighborhoods don\u2019t have their own chamber of commerce, they do have enough in common to merit their own networking group. A small group of local business people have joined together to start a grassroots group called e-GADS (which serves as an acronym for Grantville, Allied Gardens, Del Cerro and San Carlos). The group\u2019s next meetings will be July 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Junk House Gastro-Pub, 5351 Adobe Falls Road, and July 15 at 7:30 a.m. at Brothers Family Restaurant, 5150 Waring Road. San Diego Jewish Film Festival presents \u2018Marilyn Monroe Declassified\u2019<\/strong>
\nSunday, July 12<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first public screening of this new feature documentary will be held at David and Dorothea Garfield Theatre (4126 Executive Drive, La Jolla) at 6 p.m. The showing will be of the director\u2019s cut of the film, which uncovers much of Marilyn Monroe\u2019s life through previously top-secret, classified documents released under the Freedom of Information Act.
