Blogs, art\u00edculos de noticias y columnas relatan alegremente casos judiciales en los que los propietarios &quot;malos&quot; han sido sancionados con multas enormes por &quot;permitir&quot; chinches en la propiedad. <!--more-->De hecho, una revisi\u00f3n casual podr\u00eda sugerir que siempre es responsabilidad del propietario lidiar con, l\u00e9ase: pagar, las infestaciones.<\/p>\n<p>Pero ese no es el caso, y tanto los propietarios como los inquilinos deben informarse sobre el tema para evitar costosas batallas legales.<\/p>\n<p>Lo m\u00e1s importante para los inquilinos es saber que si sin darse cuenta causan una infestaci\u00f3n de chinches, pueden ser responsables de los costos de exterminio. Y eso ocurre con alarmante frecuencia.<\/p>\n<p>Casi tan comunes como las historias de &quot;malos propietarios&quot; en Internet son las historias de advertencia sobre inquilinos que encuentran ofertas de muebles aparentemente excelentes en anuncios clasificados en l\u00ednea, como Craigslist, o en ventas de garaje, solo para encontrarlos llenos de chinches. Peor a\u00fan, es posible que muchos inquilinos no se lo piensen dos veces antes de recoger ese sof\u00e1 que encuentran en la acera, pero eso es a\u00fan m\u00e1s arriesgado.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 tan comunes son las chinches? En una encuesta de 2013, la Asociaci\u00f3n Nacional de Manejo de Plagas y la Universidad de Kentucky encontraron que el 99,6 % de las empresas profesionales de manejo de plagas con sede en EE. UU. se hab\u00edan encontrado con una infestaci\u00f3n de chinches en el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o, un poco m\u00e1s que el 99 % que inform\u00f3 lo mismo en 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Por lo tanto, corresponde tanto a los propietarios como a los inquilinos ser proactivos cuando se trata de chinches.<\/p>\n<p>Propietarios: evite exterminios costosos y demandas judiciales inspeccionando regularmente su propiedad en busca de chinches y otras alima\u00f1as. La mejor defensa contra reclamos legales es evitar que sucedan en primer lugar. This legislation would allow a mentally competent, terminally ill person in the final stages of their disease to request medication from a physician to bring about a peaceful death. The availability of this option can also provide peace of mind to those who are dying and for their families.<\/p>\n<p>Aid in dying is a very important issue to me and I&#8217;d like to tell you why. At the end of my mother\u2019s life, she was in excruciating pain from cancer.\u00a0Her life had become unbearable.\u00a0One night, alone, she went to her garage and took her life with a gun.\u00a0A very violent act, that is hard to erase from my mind. She would not have had to do it if the \u201cend of life option\u201d had been in place in California.<\/p>\n<p>SB 128 is modeled after Oregon\u2019s 1997 \u201cDeath with Dignity Act.\u201d The extensive \u2014 and important \u2014 safeguards in SB-128 will ensure that the choice made by a terminally ill person to access aid in dying is informed, deliberate and voluntary.<\/p>\n<p>Oregon\u2019s experience demonstrates that this law, with safeguards to protect against any abuse, can improve end-of-life pain management and health care for all terminally ill people whether choosing to access aid in dying or not.<\/p>\n<p>We should always provide quality end-of-life care for people who are suffering from an incurable and irreversible terminal illness.
