{"id":225648,"date":"2018-12-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-12-21T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sdnews.com\/news-and-notes-from-your-county-supervisor-dec-21-2018\/"},"modified":"2018-12-21T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-12-21T08:00:00","slug":"news-and-notes-from-your-county-supervisor-dec-21-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.sdnews.com\/es\/news-and-notes-from-your-county-supervisor-dec-21-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"News and notes from your County Supervisor \u2013 Dec. 21, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By\u00a0Dianne\u00a0Jacob<\/p>\n<p><strong>Helping seniors in crisis: <\/strong>Medical experts, social workers, law enforcement officers and others recently joined me in La Mesa to put a spotlight on our new Alzheimer&#8217;s Response Team, a pilot program in East County that is off to an encouraging start.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It aims to make sure that those with dementia are directed to the most appropriate services during a crisis.<\/p>\n<p>The early numbers are solid enough \u2014 more than 50 referrals and over 20 cases in only a few months \u2014 that we&#8217;re already talking about ways to expand it to other parts of the county.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to Grossmont Healthcare District, Sharp HealthCare, Alzheimer&#8217;s San Diego and others for teaming up with the county on this groundbreaking effort!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Booming backcountry biz: <\/strong>The latest annual report from the San Diego County Vintners Association showed continued growth in our wine industry.<\/p>\n<p>Vintners had a $50 million economic impact on the region in 2017, a $19.6 million increase over 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Our wine industry is going gangbusters and has emerged as a significant player in our economy.
