Caltrans maintenance crews will close the westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) connector to northbound Interstate 5 (I-5) Saturday, Nov. 18 from 3 to 10 a.m., to repair recently damaged crash cushions.
Signs will be posted directing motorists on westbound I-8 to southbound I-5, to Old Town Avenue, turn left on Old Town Avenue, left on Moore Street to northbound I-5.
Caltrans reminds drivers to ‘Be Work Zone Alert’ by avoiding distracted driving, paying constant attention to traffic, and slowing down when approaching work zones.
