Local kindergartners support families in need Kindergarten students at Warren-Walker School in Point Loma embraced the Holiday Spirit this past holiday season by “adopting” two families through the Embrace-A-Family Program, sponsored by the Jewish Family Service. Families supported by the program submit a “wish list” to program organizers — usually consisting of very basic items. The kindergartners at Warren-Walker School and their families fulfilled the wish-list items from baby shampoo to toys. They also gave each family gift wrap to complete their gifts. School officials said community service is an ongoing program at Warren-Walker School, with each grade supporting various activities and organization in our community throughout the year.
