Valley View Casino and Hotel and AEG announced March 31 a multi-year extension of the naming rights agreement for Valley View Casino Center, San Diego’s venue for live concerts, family entertainment, and sporting events. The deal, first brokered by AEG Global Partnerships in 2010 with the region’s preeminent gaming and entertainment destination, extends the partnership with the venue recently ranked the No. 5 facility in the world for venues with 10,001 to 15,000 seats. Financial details of the partnership were not released. “Thanks to our partnership with AEG, the most recognized name in sports and entertainment, Valley View Casino Center has become synonymous with world-class sports and live entertainment events in San Diego, while providing exceptional brand exposure for Valley View Hotel and Casino and premium ticketing opportunities for our loyal guests and partners,” said Bruce Howard, general manager at Valley View Casino and Hotel. The agreement provides the venue with extensive signage and LED branding exposure on the exterior and throughout the building, inclusion in all marketing and event collateral, as well as a supply of premium tickets for hosting opportunities at Valley View Casino Center and other AEG Facilities venues worldwide. Earlier this year it was announced that professional hockey will return this fall to San Diego and the historic Valley View Casino Center after nearly a decade absence when the San Diego Sea Gulls begin play as the Anaheim Ducks top affiliate in the American Hockey League. “We have built a great relationship with the City of San Diego and the community at-large through this venture with AEG. With professional hockey returning to Valley View Casino Center, we’re excited to play a part in bringing another exceptional sporting experience to San Diegans,” said Joe Navarro, president/CEO of the San Pasqual Development Group Inc., the San Pasqual tribe’s gaming corporation. As part of the partnership, AEG continues to invest in upgrades to Valley View Casino Center including new lower level seating, a brand new VIP lounge and new entrances with high-definition LCD flat screens. Additionally Levy Restaurants, the acclaimed food and beverage partner for STAPLES Center and numerous arenas worldwide, will now be the food and beverage partner for Valley View Casino Center, offering customers an improved selection and quality of food and beverage options.
