Davis to visit Doyle for Neighborhood Day
Congresswoman Susan Davis (D-53) will meet with residents of University City and La Jolla Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The town hall format will allow Davis to hear from constituents, answer questions and facilitate access to government services. She and her staff will also hear local concerns and take voters’ opinions back to Washington, D.C.
The meeting will be held at Doyle Park Recreation Center, 8175 Regents Road.

Broadway Kids pick ‘Apple Tree’
Broadway Kids of San Diego will present “The Apple Tree” this evening, Aug. 23, 7 p.m., at the Lawrence Family JCC. The show consists of two one-act musicals: “The Diary of Adam and Eve,” based on a story by Mark Twain, and a Cinderella-type tale called “Passionnella.”
“The Apple Tree” is directed by Alice Cash, a junior at Canyon Crest Academy, with choreography by Charlotte Wren. It will be performed in the round with a live orchestra conducted by Jeffrey Sweet, a senior at Torrey Pines High.
