Scripps Health has signed a purchase agreement with Imaging Healthcare Specialists LLC, a network of ambulatory radiology centers with eight locations across San Diego and Riverside counties. The deal is anticipated to be completed by Tuesday, March 31.
“At the completion of this agreement, Imaging Healthcare Specialists will be better positioned for positive population health management across the community and improved delivery of more cost-efficient, effective, patient-focused care,” said Jon Robins, chairman and CEO of Imaging Healthcare Specialists.
The company will retain its name and brand identity and will continue its relationship with the contracted physicians of Radiology Medical Group and Physicians Radiology Medical Group, both of which will remain independent.
Imaging Healthcare Specialists’ services range from mammography and traditional X-ray services to nuclear medicine and interventional radiology services. Founded 30 years ago, the radiology network has 23 radiologists who practice at eight area locations, including University City.
