San Diego Humane Society is expecting… kittens, that is. And lots of them! In anticipation of the springtime start of kitten season, and the arrival of more than 4,000 orphaned kittens, San Diego Humane Society is hosting a virtual kitten shower during April, and offering a true “behind-the-scenes” opportunity to tour the nursery to experience the amazing difference this program is making in the lives of thousands of kittens. Much-needed donations of kitten food and care supplies for San Diego Humane Society’s Kitten Nursery program are accepted at any of the three campuses or online. A complete shower registry can be found at www.sdhumane.org/what-we-do/san-diego-humane-societys-kitten-nursery/kitten-shower/.
“Our Kitten Nursery program and its dedicated volunteers provide specialized, around-the-clock care to these tiny kittens during the most critical stage of their lives,” says Jacqueline Noble, Kitten Nursery supervisor. “We are the only animal shelter in San Diego that can give them the overnight support they need to reach full development, so making sure we have all the supplies we need is crucial.” WHAT: San Diego Humane Society Kitten Shower Tour.
