Zoketsu Norman Fischer talks about his new book “Sailing Home: Using Homer’s Odyssey to Navigate Life’s Perils and Pitfalls” July 31 at D.G. Wills Books, 7461 Girard Ave.
A poet and Zen Buddhist priest, Fischer is the senior Dharma teacher at San Francisco’s Zen Center and is the founder and spiritual director of the Everyday Zen Foundation, which adapts Zen Buddhist teachings to Western culture.
He has participated in many inter-religious conferences.
