With the recent sale of Liberty Station, rumors are rampant about stores closing, moving, going out of business, etc. I have had several calls about which rumor is true and which isn’t. So let’s put the neighborhood at ease, at least on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
I spoke to “The Captain” at Trader Joe’s at Liberty Station. They are not closing. They are not moving to Ralph’s on Rosecrans Street. They are staying where they are at this time.
Ace Hardware at Liberty Station is closing. They will be shutting their doors by the end of February.
Ralphs market on Rosecrans Street is not closing. They are “there for good,” according to the manager I spoke with.
Vons market at Liberty Station is not closing either.
Most of what people are hearing is only rumor. The old saying “When in doubt check it out” is appropriate here. I hope this relieves some of our readers’ fears. It did mine.
