The November primary is right around the corner and Republicans everywhere are excited and prepared to send out our conservative message and register voters. The U.S. economy is experiencing an historic boom with record low unemployment rates and dramatic increases in middle class income as well as the stock market. For the first time in years, citizens are optimistic about their future.
President Trump is keeping his promise to “make America great again” by tackling international trade issues that have been ignored for too long. We are finally making progress in enforcing trade agreements that are fair to the United States and bringing in billions of dollars to our economy. There has been a sharp drop in the number of illegal crossings at the Mexico border, but it is still a major crisis that needs our continuing attention.
In two and a half years, Trump’s accomplishments for our country are monumental, but have not been publicized by the “mainstream media.” That is why it is up to us to remind our fellow citizens how much better things are today.
Republican Women of California – Navajo Canyon are looking forward to our annual Fashion Show on Oct. 8 at the Bali Hai on Shelter Island. With a theme of “Spirit of San Diego,” fashions by Glamour Girlz of El Cajon and a delicious buffet lunch, it is guaranteed to be a fun-filled afternoon for a cost of $40. This is our only fundraiser of the year and it always gets rave reviews. To add to the excitement we have a $100 cash door prize, opportunity drawings, gift cards, and a silent auction for holiday items. This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with Navajo Canyon members and learn more about what we do throughout the year. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Reservations are required, so please RSVP at [email protected] or call 619-561-8304 for more information.
Our next regular meeting at the Brigantine will be Nov. 12 and our featured speaker will be Eric Golub, a politically oriented comedian. We will enjoy some humor, and also be updated on what is happening in politics locally, statewide and in Washington.
