HERE’S AN AERIAL, CIRCA 1929, OF CROWN POINT. The streets are laid out in anticipation of the completion of the causeway.  Only about seven homes were built by the time the causeway was dedicated in 1931. The Great Depression took its toll and hit the community hard.
