REMEMBER WHEN Dunaway’s was a drugstore? Here’s a shot of the iconic structure on the northwest corner of Cass and Garnet streets shortly after completion in 1926 at a cost of $40,000. The drugstore closed on Jan. 13, 1990. A whole bunch of Pacific Beach residents have only known it as a sushi restaurant.
