The 17th annual event, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of La Jolla, featured more than 600 students from seven La Jolla elementary schools, including students from The Children’s School and All Hallows Academy for the first time.
Besides running events, the Junior Olympics included an obstacle course, softball throw and broad jump. All participants received ribbons, with medals to the top three in each event.
