Politics is here once again and here in full force. Candidates galore, and all the backbiting and wasted funds that go with it. Our mailboxes again (along with the junk mail) full of “vote for me. I’m the best qualified.”
There can be only one president. Surely some of the would-be candidates know this, or do they seek the limelight to be known in the next election? What a waste of money, which could feed a desperate world.
It would be nice if they could have a convention of candidates who would choose possibly two from each denomination of the best qualified. The rest [should] bow out for the good of the country and spend their millions on worthy charities. It would benefit everyone.
Our hats would be off to those who thought more of their country and less of themselves by bowing out.
