Shame on The Beacon for running a politically motivated and biased ad on Page 7 of the June 7 issue without printing the political party or people who sponsored it.
“Let Your Voice Be Heard,” which took up nearly a half page, was obviously written by political interests hoping to sway an important local election (for the Peninsula Community Planning Board, held Saturday). The public has a right to know who is behind the information that is disseminated for the sponsor’s political gain.
If damage has been done as a result, it is too late to retract the ad. Or perhaps it was an article written by “Beacon” staff in order to affect the election to their desired outcome. We won’t know that now, will we?
