The Peninsula Singers community choir welcomes singers with all levels of experience to join them for the fall season. No audition is needed. Rehearsals are every Monday night, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 12 in the community room at Point Loma Hervey Branch Library at 3701 Voltaire St. Performances in early December will feature traditional and contemporary British carols and songs as well as selections from Handel’s “Messiah.”

Music can be picked up early by either registering in person or bringing an online purchase receipt to the Library on Sunday, Sept. 11, from 1 to 3 pm. Registration is also available at the first few rehearsals.
The choir is directed by Sarah Suhonen and accompanied by Stewart Simon on piano.
Peninsula Singers has performed at many venues throughout the community, including U.S.S. Midway, the Point Loma Village Cultural Faire, Southwestern Yacht Club, Point Loma High School, several local libraries, December Nights in Balboa Park and the San Diego Botanical Garden.
Established in 2003, Peninsula Singers is a committee of the nonprofit Ocean Beach Community Foundation.
