Some folks build sand castles. Others, like Ron Patterson, a former stone worker who has been homeless for 21 years, recently created this rock castle sculpture adjacent to the San Diego River under the power lines not far from the mouth of the river’s outlet at Dog Beach in Ocean Beach.
