Ocean Beach Scholarship Fund is awarding scholarships to adults in the Ocean Beach community. If you have volunteered 25 or more hours to make Ocean Beach a better place to live/work and are a college student in need of funding, apply for an Ocean Beach Scholarship Fund scholarship at OBScholarshipFund.org. Ocean Beach Scholarship Fund will award three community service scholarships. Applications are due Aug. 14.
OBSF’s mission is to mobilize the community on behalf of post secondary education success for local Ocean Beach students. OBSF is a network of nonprofit, communities-based groups whose volunteer members provide scholarships and academic support for local students. Scholarship funds are raised from private donations. This year, the group is celebrating 30 years of helping OB community residents succeed through scholarship opportunities. For more information, call Katie O. OBSF welcomes donations from businesses, organizations, civic groups, and individuals. Scholarships are $500 each. No donation is too small or too large. Make checks payable to OBSF and mail to OBSF / Katie O.Whalen-Elsbree, 4761 Niagara Ave., San Diego, CA. 92107.
