DOWNTOWN – Beginning this week, Father Joe’s nativity collection is on display at Father Joe’s Villages. The collection, which features 700 pieces from around the world, will be on display through Jan. 6. Self-guided tours of the collection are available with a book from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, with no charges or donations required. Groups are encouraged to call (619) 446-2100 in advance of their visit. The collection features items carved from walnut shells made of ash from Mount St. Helens and crystal, porcelain and pewter figures. Father Joe’s Villages are located at 3350 E St. downtown.
