• In the wake of catastrophe in Honshu, Japan, a local Rotary club has decided to turn their annual bowling tournament into a forum for support. La Jolla New Generations Rotary Club will be donating all public monies raised at their bowling tournament to ShelterBox, a nonprofit organization who “provide[s] emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most.” The bowling tournament will be held at Kearney Mesa Bowl, 7585 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, on March 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to the public. For $40 participants get pizza, soda and bowling to help a great cause.
