Under head coach Joe Panian, the Bucs entered action this week with a mark of 11-1-1.
According to Panian, key players as of late have included Carlos Delgado (scored two great goals against Serra in a 4-1 win) and Andrew Hutchinson (scored pair of goals against Christian in a 2-1 victory). Panian also credited the play of Victor Lopez for his leadership and defense. In the past two weeks, the Bucs have only given up two goals in four games.
“The team has clinched the league title with two games left to play in league,” Panian said. “They have really come together as a group, understanding and thriving under the team concept. “They control possession and tempo of games and when needed come up with big plays. Ten different players have scored a goal this season. We have gone 12 games unbeaten (since the first game of the season),” Panian added. Girls soccer
