Have a craving for Italian or Greek? Latin cuisine or Irish pub fare? Get a little bit of everything when the annual Coast of Pacific Beach Restaurant Walk returns April 17.
The local eateries included in this year’s beach-area culinary event, sponsored by Discover Pacific Beach, are as diverse as the community itself.
“The Coast Walk features an eclectic mix of restaurants with an amazing backdrop ” the Pacific Ocean,” said Sara Woodcock of Discover Pacific Beach. “It’s a great deal at $15 for samples from 18 locations. Even better, the money helps clean up the neighborhood you love and enjoy every day.”
The lineup for the Coast of Pacific Beach Restaurant Walk includes old favorites like Bub’s Dive Bar, Nick’s at the Beach, Zan-zibar, Gringo’s Cantina, Theo’s, Hennessey’s Tavern, Joe’s Crab Shack, Kafé Yen, JRDN at Tower 23, Filippi’s Pizza Grotto, as well as some newcomers.
Limonz, Belgian Frie, and Johnny V are all making their debut at year’s popular springtime event.
The restaurant walk not only allows guests to sample a variety of foods from several establishments they may not otherwise patronize, it also promotes local business.
“We love supporting the PB Restaurant Walk,” said Brock Hammond, general manager of Daddio’s. “What a great way to get out and taste signature dishes from PB’s best restaurants and support local businesses.”
Tickets for the restaurant walk are $15, cash or check only, and available with a map at Filippi’s Pizza Grotto (962 Garnet Ave.), Discover Pacific Beach (1503 Garnet Ave.) and Gringo’s Cantina (4474 Mission Blvd.)
The self-guided walking tour runs from 5 to 9 p.m. and features coastal restaurants along Mission Boulevard from Pacific Beach Drive north to Diamond Street and along Garnet Avenue east to Cass Street.
