Thirty local youth spent a fun-filled afternoon at the recent Little Pointers Summer Football Clinic. Members of the current Pointer varsity, under the supervision of team coaches, encouraged and praised their young counterparts, often by name, as skills of passing, catching, and punting were taught and practiced in the PLHS football stadium.
Boys and girls aged 6-12 were eager to boost their abilities during the three-hour event.
A pass, punt, and kick competition was held, with each youngster’s total distance marked on the turf. Later, clinic participants were sent through agility and coordination drills, prompting smiles, laughter, and chatter among both youngsters and their mentors.
A T-shirt to remember the event was taken home by each child.
