MUST HEAR: Sue Palmer & Her Motel Swing Orchestra Fans of boogie woogie piano and big band blues won’t want to miss Sue Palmer & Her Motel Swing Orchestra, appearing on Aug. 26 as part of the 2012 La Jolla Concerts by the Sea series. Palmer is without a doubt one of the finest pianists playing in the U.S. today, a virtuoso at everything from torch songs to vintage rock ’n’ roll and is backed by a true all-star group, including guitarist Johnny Viau and singer Deejha Marie. Palmer released a new album, “Party Favorites,” earlier this summer and its title is also an apt description of this day’s concert.
