Grammy Award-winning performer and recording artist Kenny Loggins will headline the Foundation for the Children of the Californias’ (FCC) annual fundraising event to be held on Oct. 7, FCC board president Richard Berwick announced recently. The “Concert for the Children” will be held at the Hyatt Aventine, 3777 La Jolla Village Drive, from 6 to 10 p.m., with proceeds benefiting Northern Mexico’s Hospital Infantil de las Californias, which offers health services to children 17 and under regardless of socioeconomic status. Loggins’ career has spanned four decades, with 12 of his albums going platinum or beyond. He is known for 1980s hits like “Footloose,” “I’m Alright” from “Caddyshack” and “Danger Zone” from “Top Gun.” Loggins is still recording, and recently released a children’s album. He is an advocate for children and healthcare rights. Tickets can be purchased online at www.usfcc.org for $300 per person. Sponsorships begin at $3,000.
