Forty years of experience in the hospitality industry is what Greg Rizzi brings with him as he takes over his new role of general manager of the Sea Lodge Hotel, 2000 Spindrift Drive.
“Who would not want to work at the Sea Lodge? It is a wonderful property and wonderful family to work for,” Rizzi said. “It has all the amenities of an excellent resort, the guests are very friendly and our staff is the best.”
The Grand Hotel in Anaheim, the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco and the Biltmore Hotel in New York City are among the notches included on Rizzi’s resume. He also spent 15 years managing the Best Western Inn by the Sea Hotel in La Jolla before being recruited by John Campbell, general manager of the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, which operates the Sea Lodge.
“I would like to make the Sea Lodge more visible the consumer, and my primary goal is to increase sales in both hotel occupancy and in our restaurants,” Rizzi said. “We have just introduced our new restaurant concept at the Shores Restaurant and we have received excellent reviews from our guests.”
