Finally! Sunny and Angel…the rare twin foals in the Equine Hospital at Helen Woodward Animal Center…will leave their Intensive Care stall and enjoy the sunshine in their “Play Pen” on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time! Sunny and Angel have been in Intensive Care with their mom, a 9 year old maiden mare named Lena, since arriving at HWAC less than 5 hours after their births on Sunday, March 28. This will be their first trip outside together. We’re expecting Sunny to really, “kick up his hooves.” Angel, with a splint on her left front leg to help her immature knee bones to grow prpoerly, will be able to enjoy the sunshine and her first glimpse of the great outdoors….but her activity will be somewhat limited for her safety. In addition to the live, online video stream worldwide at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/sunnyandangeltwinfoals#more we’re opening this up as an event for coverage. Working media is invited to cover the event.
