A mom and daughter select handmade bowls for their lunch of soup and bread during the May 12 Empty Bowls fund-raiser held by Boy Scout Troop 506 at La Jolla United Methodist Church, 6063 La Jolla Blvd.
For a $15 donation, attendees got to take home a hand-made bowl (below), while funds raised went to TACO, a local nonprofit that provides food, and medical and legal services to the homeless, elderly and working poor.
